Call for Papers: Special Issue on Climate Changes and Sustainable Finance

Modern Finance invites researchers worldwide to contribute to a special issue on climate changes and sustainable finance. This initiative seeks to consolidate high-quality research that explores the impact of climate change on financial systems, innovative sustainable finance strategies, and how finance can contribute to global sustainability efforts.

Themes of Interest:

  • Climate Risks and Financial Markets: Assessing the impacts of climate change on financial markets, including climate-related risks, opportunities, and their implications for investment and risk management.

  • Sustainable Investment Strategies: Examining innovative investment strategies that integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors, and their effectiveness in achieving sustainable financial outcomes.

  • Climate-Friendly Technologies and Finance: Analyzing the role of finance in driving the adoption of clean energy technologies, sustainable infrastructure, and other climate mitigation solutions.

  • Policy and Regulatory Frameworks: Investigating the influence of regulatory frameworks and policies on sustainable finance, and proposing policy recommendations to accelerate sustainable investments.

  • Climate Reporting and Disclosure: Studying disclosure practices and reporting mechanisms for climate-related financial information, promoting transparency and informed decision-making.

  • Impact Investing for Climate Solutions: Exploring impact investing approaches that drive positive environmental outcomes while ensuring financial returns, with a focus on climate-centric projects.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Manuscript Types: We welcome original research articles, review papers, case studies, and short communications.
  • Methodologies: Empirical, theoretical, computational, and experimental approaches, as well as interdisciplinary studies, are encouraged.
  • Diverse Voices: In alignment with MF's commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity, we strongly encourage submissions from scholars based in developing regions and those from underrepresented communities globally.
