2026 MF BEST PAPER AWARDS

for papers published in 2025

In recognition of the contributions and continued support of our authors, the editors of Modern Finance are pleased to open the next edition of the annual Best Paper Awards. The 2026 MF Best Paper Award will be granted to articles published between January 1 and December 31, 2025. After careful evaluation, the MF Award Committee will select the paper nominated for the Best Paper Award.

 

ELIGIBILITY:

• All papers published in MF between January 1 and December 31, 2025.
• Both regular and special issues are eligible.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Papers will be selected for the Best Paper Award based on the following criteria:

• Scientific contribution, novelty, and originality.
• Number of citations.
• Readership and downloads.

 

AWARDS:

• Best Paper Award: €500 and a certificate.
• Runner-Up Award: A certificate.

 

Prizes will be announced by September 2026. The cash prize is funded by the Modern Finance Institute.
