Modern Finance invites researchers worldwide to contribute to a special issue focused on African financial markets. This initiative seeks to consolidate high-quality research that showcases the dynamism, challenges, and opportunities inherent in the African financial landscape. We are particularly interested in submissions that provide fresh perspectives, employ innovative methodologies, and focus on non-traditional or overlooked topics within this realm.

  • FinTech Innovations: The role and impact of financial technology in reshaping African business and finance landscapes.
  • SME Financing: Challenges and opportunities in financing Small and Medium Enterprises in Africa.
  • Investment Climate: Analyzing the investment environment, including private equity and venture capital developments in Africa.
  • Sustainable Finance: Studies focusing on green finance initiatives, sustainable business practices, and corporate social responsibility in the African context.

Submission Guidelines

  • Manuscript Types: We welcome original research articles, review papers, case studies, and short communications.
  • Methodologies: Empirical, theoretical, computational, and experimental approaches, as well as interdisciplinary studies, are encouraged.
  • Diverse Voices: In alignment with MF's commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity, we strongly encourage submissions from scholars based in Africa and those from underrepresented communities globally.
